the heavy. the healing. the holding.

This record is dedicated to my hero and daddy, Robert Laird, who went to his heavenly home after a very short battle with cancer in 2023. His greatest desire was to bring God glory, whether in life or in death, and he did just that. He knew this album was going to be created in his honor, and my prayer is that God uses it to continue his legacy - a legacy of seeing those who feel unseen & loving them into the arms of the Father.

I recorded these songs in the weeks and months after I lost him, and it was honestly like therapy. Many tears were shed in the vocal booth as I allowed myself to grieve and bring all of my feelings to the table. Now, I hope these songs allow YOU a safe place to feel, ask questions, be comforted and maybe even find some healing. And when the record stops playing, I hope you are more sure than ever of the Savior who weeps with you, never leaves you and loves you more than you could ever know.

This is for the grievers, the doubters, the believers, the lost, the hopeful, the hopeless & all those in between. These songs are yours. 🤍

In this broken world, suffering is no stranger to any of us… You may be facing a storm right now that has you feeling hopeless, but thank God that our feelings do not determine His faithfulness! He sees you. He cares. He’s able. I hope by the end of this devotional, you are reminded just where your peace is found as you give Him your “Hallelujah Even Here.” 🖤 -Lydia
